Squadron Leader Everson has taken part in numerous operational sorties with keenness and courage in spite of being involved in a serious flying accident early in his operational career. His gallantry and devotion to duty have been a high example to all the gunners in the squadron, whilst his determination to participate in operational flights have been worthy of high praise.

Squadron Leader Everson has completed a large number of operational sorties and since being awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross has taken part in many further attacks against heavily defended targets in Germany and enemy-occupied territory.

As Squadron Gunnery Leader he has displayed organizing and instructional ability of a high order, while his efficiency and devotion to duty when in action have been an inspiring example to the air gunners in his squadron.
