This captain of aircraft has participated in many operational sorties, always displaying determination, skill and great devotion to duty.

In August 1943 he was detailed to attack Nuremberg. On the flight to the target the starboard outer engine failed, but Squadron Leader Anset with great determination flew to the target and attacked it from a reduced altitude.

Immediately following the attack a further engine failed and had to be feathered. By skillful airmanship he controlled his loss of height and managed to return safely to this country.
