Mission Comments: 12 aircraft detailed for night operations against enemy troop concentrations and communications in Homburg.. 1 aircraft returned early with engine trouble. Illuminating flares were dropped in adequate number, and in the light of which ground detail was easily identifiable. Marking was accurate and concentrated. Bombing appeared well directed and fires developed, with smoke quickly obscuring the target. The attack was considered most successful.
