3/04/1942  Friday  No operations were carried out. Two test flights were made.           
4/04/1942  Saturday  Nine N.F.T. carried out, but operations cancelled. Two cross country flights made and three local flights. P/O R.F. DAVIES posted to O.T.U. on complete of operational tour.           
5/04/1942  Sunday  Squadron Church Parade was help at Upton Church. Ten aircraft were employed on operations. F/LT WILLS AND P/O PINION both put up very fine performances. F/SGT THOMPSON baled out over COLOGNE.  Koln         
6/04/1942  Monday  One air firing practice flight carried out and one night flying test. Six aircraft engaged in operations.  Essen         
7/04/1942  Tuesday  One aircraft was flown to MANSTON and returned. One aircraft was flown to POLEBROOK and returned.           
8/04/1942  Wednesday  Nine flying tests were made. Two aircraft were ferried to WYTON. Two aircraft carried out Cross Country and Air Firing practice flights. Eight aircraft were employed on operations.  Hamburg         
9/04/1942  Thursday  No operations were detailed and the Squadron was stood down.           
10/04/1942  Friday  Nine night flying tests were made. One aircraft flew to TEMPSFORD and returned. One aircraft carried out air firing practice. Eight aircraft were engaged on operations.  Essen  Le Havre       
11/04/1942  Saturday  Nine aircraft were detailed for operations and three night flying tests were made. Operations were cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. One aircraft was ferried to WYTON. And one was brought back. One aircraft went to MARTLESHAM and back. SGT I.D.C. EVANS (Pilot) was appointed to Commissioned rank w.e.f. 31.3.42           
12/04/1942  Sunday  Eleven night flying tests were carried out. One cross country practice flight was made and one aircraft from NARDEN. Nine aircraft were employed on operations.  Essen  Le Havre       
13/04/1942  Monday  No operations. F/SGT BRADY (W/Op) awarded immediate D.F.M. for good work with P/O PINION on the night of 5.4.42. Sergeants HOOD and VALENTINE (A/G'S) appointed to Commissioned rank w.e.f. 7.4.42. One aircraft was brought back from ??ATTI??? and one from PETERBOROUGH.           
14/04/1942  Tuesday  Award of D.F.C. Gazetted to P/O L.J. ACKLAND for good work on the night of 11.2.42 A Sea Search for missing aircraft was carried out without effect. Ten night flying tests were made and one air firing practice. Ten aircraft were engaged on operations of whom two returned early.  Dortmund  Search for Aircraft  Le Havre     
15/04/1942  Wednesday  One aircraft flew to COSFORD and returned. One aircraft was height tested for suspected S Blower trouble. P/O PINION appointed A/F/O. w.e.f. 24.1.42 to fill F/Lt. Vacancy in 'B' Flight. Three aircraft engaged on operations.  Dortmund         
16/04/1942  Thursday  P/O GRIFFITH aircraft and crew failed to return from operations on night of 15/16. Reported missing. Very fine crew F/SGT LOCKWOOD posted to 10 O.T.U. on completion of operational tour. Six aircraft were engaged on operations sea-mining.  Gardening         
17/04/1942  Friday  P/O SHEFFIELD aircraft and crew failed to return from operations on night of 16/17 and were reported missing. Four night flying tests and two local flights were carried out. Two aircraft were employed on operations. P/O DeJONG admitted to ELY Hospital with eye trouble.  Hamburg         
18/04/1942  Saturday  No operations detailed. Very successful dance held in Sergeants' Mess           
19/04/1942  Sunday  Eight aircraft were employed on sea mining operations, from which P/O FOX and crew failed to return. Scattered fire like burning aircraft seen by W/Cdr HEATH on TERSCHELLING Island. F/O PINION mistook WARBOYS aerodrome for base on return and landed with mines on short runway, over-running at end and colliding with hedge.  Gardening         
20/04/1942  Monday  No operations detailed. One aircraft was ferried from WYTON. P/O HOOD reported for duty on Commissioning.           
21/04/1942  Tuesday  No operations detailed. One aircraft flew to FELTWELL and returned. Two bombing practice flights carried out. P/O I.D.C. EVANS reported for duty.           
22/04/1942  Wednesday  P/O HOOD posted to 11 O.T.U. on completion of operational tour. P/O VALENTINE reported for duty on Commissioning. Seven aircraft were employed on operations.  Koln  Le Havre       
23/04/1942  Thursday  One instructional flight and three night flying tests were carried out. Operations were then cancelled. F/Lt WILLS flew to BOSCOMBE DOWN to carry out Turret tests.           
24/04/1942  Friday  Operations were cancelled late in the day after eight night flying tests had been carried out. One air firing and one cross country flight were made. SGT SUTTON medically boarded as permanently unfit aircrew details           
25/04/1942  Saturday  F/Lt. WILLS granted immediate award of D.F.C. for very good show on the night of 6.4.42. F/SGT THOMPSON reported Prisoner of War since that same night. Seven night flying tests, two local flights and one bombing practice flight carried out. Operations ordered and carried out by eight aircraft.  Dunkirk         
26/04/1942  Sunday  Seven aircraft were employed on operations. Sergeant KELHAM forced to return early with sick navigator. Seven night flying tests had been made also two local and two air firing tests.  Rostock         
27/04/1942  Monday  No operations detailed. One aircraft was ferried to WYTON. F/Lt WILLS DFC returned from detachment at BOSCOMBE DOWN.           
28/04/1942  Tuesday  Seven night flying tests were carried out and a lecture on Searchlights and light flak was given by R.A. Officers. Night flying practice was given to two crews. Four aircraft were employed on operations.  Kiel         
29/04/1942  Wednesday  Five airtests were made. S/LDR PROCTOR was posted to EAST WRETHAM for a period of rest. Six aircraft were employed on operations from which F/O PINION and crew failed to return and were posted as Missing  Gennevilliers         
30/04/1942  Thursday  P/O HILL and P/O EWING (Air Gunners) posted to 156 Squadron for flying duties. (Second operational tour) Ex Bramcote. SGT QUILTER (A/Obs) appointed to Commissioned Rank. Operations cancelled mid-day due unfavourable weather conditions.
