Bombs returned on instructions of Master Bomber. Aircraft in flames with full bomb load and rear and mid-upper gunner baled out over E/O territory. Unsuccessful attempt to put out flames until aircraft put into dive which extinguished the fire. Aircraft landed at WOODBRIDGE. Rear gunner in P/O Griffin's crew wounded by canon shell when aircraft attacked by ME210. Aircraft landed at WARBOYS airfield as base runway temporary blocked. One aircraft, captain S/L G.C. Davies DSO hit by E/A, puncturing the tyre. Aircraft landed at base runway and the tyre caught fire. The aircraft had full bomb load and the runway was temporary blocked.
