This officer is a fine captain of aircraft who has a very good operational record. Since the award of the Distinguished Flying Cross he has taken part in a large number of sorties, often in a most responsible role, and the success achieved in many of these missions has been largely due to his skill and courage.
Flight Lieutenant Neal has always pressed home his attacks with resolute determination. His skilful airmanship and coolness in hazardous situations have been of great value to his squadron.
