ORB  9/06/1944  P/O P.V.T. Ribbins aircraft extensively damaged by light flak. The port inner engine was hit and burst into flames. The aircraft was again repeatedly hit and the starboard inner engine burst into flames. By feathering the fires were extinguished. The crippled circled this aerodrome after all the other crews had been interrogated and gone to bed. It made a perfect landing on two engines although the port tyre was punctured.
